Fintch is built to hold as little about you as possible. Today it has no accounts, and your settings live in your own browser rather than on a server.
This policy describes what happens now, and flags plainly what will change when accounts and portfolios arrive.
Fintch currently has no user accounts and no user database. Everything it remembers about you is held in your own browser, in local storage, and never transmitted:
| What | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| API keys, if you supply your own | So you do not re-enter them each visit | Your browser only |
| Theme, benchmark, scoring profile, weighting | To restore your settings | Your browser only |
| Which sections you collapsed | To restore the layout | Your browser only |
| Your disclosure acknowledgement | So you are not asked on every visit | Your browser only |
You can erase all of it at any time with Forget saved keys in Setup, or by clearing site data in your browser. Nothing on any server has to be deleted, because nothing about you is there.
Analysing a ticker sends that ticker to the Fintch server, which fetches data from public and third-party sources on your behalf. Those requests carry the ticker and standard network information such as your IP address. They do not carry your identity, because Fintch does not have one for you.
Responses are cached at the edge by ticker so that repeated lookups of the same company do not hit the upstream provider again. That cache is shared and contains only public market data — it holds nothing about who requested it.
When you ask the assistant a question, the question and the analysis currently on your screen are sent to a language-model provider to generate the reply. Do not type anything personal into it. It does not need personal information, it is instructed not to use it, and the simplest way to keep it private is not to send it.
Fintch runs no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising and no third-party trackers. It sets no cookies. It does not sell, rent or share personal information, because it does not collect any.
Fintch is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Accounts and portfolio storage are planned. When they ship, this policy will be updated before the feature is enabled, not after. The intended shape:
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information held about you. Today the honest answer is that Fintch holds none, so there is nothing to produce or erase beyond what your own browser is storing. Once accounts exist, those requests will be served by the export and delete controls in the app, and by writing to the address below.
